The rotary encoder (in combination with a microcontroller such as Arduino, ESP, ESP32, Raspberry etc.) can count the pulse output times during the rotation process in positive and reverse direction. This rotary counting is unlimited compared to rotary potentiometers. The initial state can be restored to count from 0.
The sensor is supplied with a 2.54mm JST XH socket which allows easy connection and eliminates incorrect wiring.
In addition, two 3mm diameter positioning holes are provided to allow the sensor to be attached to other devices.
