Grove - UART WiFi V2.0 (ESP8285)
Grove - UART WiFi V2.0 (ESP8285) is a serial transceiver module with the ubiquitous IoT SoC ESP8285. With an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack, this module allows your microcontroller to interact with WiFi networks with just a few lines of code. The SoC has integrated WEP, WPA/WPA2, TKIP, AES and WAPI engines, can act as an access point with DHCP, can join existing WiFi networks and has configurable MAC and IP addresses.
It is the upgrade version of Grove - UART WiFi. The ESP8266 has been changed to the ESP8285 and some other adjustments have been made to make it more stable and lighter.
ESP8285 can run either as a standalone application or as a slave to a host MCU. When ESP8285 hosts the application, it starts immediately from flash. The integrated high-speed cache helps to increase system performance and optimize system memory. In addition, ESP8285 can be applied to any microcontroller design as a Wi-Fi adapter via SPI/SDIO or I2C/UART interfaces.
