This is an incremental rotary encoder from the Grove series with a standard Grove interface. The module encodes the rotation signal of the axis and outputs the signal via an electronic pulse. 

Suitable for projects that require a rotary knob (e.g. volume control, selection field or digital input). 

Note: The module can generate another signal when pressed down, but is supplied without output of this signal due to limited Grove signal cables.
