  • Step counter, wheel encoder for motors
  • serves to detect the position and rotational speed of a motor
  • consists of an optical beam sensor (opto switch, phototransistor) and a slotted disk
  • is connected to a microcontroller with an enclosed three-pole pin header
  • the beam sensor detects missing slits and generates a pulse train from them
  • outputs 5V when the beam is blocked (0V when beam is unblocked)
  • Power supply: 5V
  • Output signal: digital
  • Reading frequency: up to 100KHz
  • Outer diameter of slotted disk: 26mm
  • PCB dimensions: 22*20mm
