    Alles gut, Standardbauteil mit sehr verlässlicher Leistung.

    Wer mit Tinkercad diese Displays simulieren will, muss darauf achten, dass er am Tinkercad-Simulationsmodul den Typ richtig auf „PCF…-basiert“ einstellt und die Adresse mit 0x27 angibt. Dann klappt alles.

    Nach kleinen Startschwierigkeiten wunderbar

    Zunächst hatte ich Probleme die nötige "LiquidCrystal_I2C"-Bibliothek in der Arduino-IDE zu finden, weil der Maintainer gewechselt hat. Danach ging das Coding aber problemfrei von der Hand.

    Sehr schön ist auch, dass man über die Bibliothek 10 eigene Zeichen/Icons pixelweise definieren kann. Und falls man mehr braucht überschreibt man sie einfach vor der Nutzung durch die benötigten. Bisher habe ich nicht mehr als 10 gleichzeitig benötigt.

    PS: Ich war anfangs noch kurz verwundert als das Display nur Leere anzeigte. In diesem Fall muss man hinten an der Kontrastschraube im blauen Quader drehen, bis man etwas sieht. Ich hab die Schraube anschließend festgeklebt, da sie mir recht leichtgängig schien.
