The TP4056 module is suitable for charging smaller lithium batteries (e.g. from mobile devices, drones) and can be supplied with power via the USB port.

Overview:

  • Charging method: linear charging
  • Charging current: 100 - 1000 mA, adjustable
  • Charging accuracy: 1.5 %
  • Input voltage: 4.5 V - 5.5 V
  • Full charging voltage: 4.2 V
  • Charging indicator: blue light (red light illuminates when fully charged)
  • Charging input interface: Micro-USB
  • Operating temperature: -10 degrees to +85 degrees
  • Weight: 1.8 g
  • Dimensions: 23.3 x 17.3 x 3.4 mm

Note: Observe the correct polarity! A reversed connection of the input has no effect on the chip, but a reversed connection of the output (battery end) will short-circuit the chip!

For experienced users: The maximum charging current is 1 ampere as standard. This can be changed by changing the 1k2 (122) resistor next to the "IN-" pad. The following table illustrates the resistance and charging current:
