The L7805CV is a proven linear fixed-voltage regulator from the 78xx series and provides a stable 5 V output voltage for electronic projects. Thanks to the TO-220 housing with mounting lug, it can be easily screwed onto a heat sink if required - ideal for uncomplicated 5 V supplies from higher input voltages (e.g. for microcontrollers, sensors and logic circuits).
