Grove - Digital light sensor
This module is based on the TSL2561 I2C light-to-digital converter to convert light intensity into a digital signal. It has three detection modes to capture your readings (infrared mode, full spectrum and human visible mode). In human visible mode, this sensor provides you with readings that are close to your eye sensitivity. With its high resolution and wide operating temperature range, you can use it with many common microcontrollers to measure the change in light intensity in different light situations.
Features
- Flexible detection modes: infrared mode, full spectrum mode and human visible mode selectable
- High resolution: 16-bit digital output at 400 kHz I2C fast mode
- Supports measurements in different lighting situations: Supports a wide dynamic range of 0.1-40,000 LUX and a wide operating temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C
- Programmable interrupt function: User-defined upper and lower thresholds
- Grove unit interface: The product ensures "plug and play" and can be versatile for various Grove applications
Applications
- Ambient light detection
- Display panel backlight control
- Keypad backlight control
