Grove - Water sensor (RC0603JR) - Moisture sensor

The sensor module can detect the presence of water based on exposed PCB traces. It indicates whether the sensor is dry, wet or fully immersed in water by measuring conductivity.

The sensor traces have a weak pull-up resistance of 1 MΩ. The resistor increases the value of the sensor track until a drop of water short-circuits the sensor track with the earthed track. The module works with the digital I/O pins of your Arduino or you can use them with the analog pins to detect the contact caused by water between the grounded traces and the sensor traces.
