Passive infrared motion sensor from Grove

A passive infrared sensor is an electronic sensor that measures infrared light emitted by objects in its field of view. PIR sensors are often used in security systems and automatic lighting applications.

Features

  • Consists of a pyroelectric sensor to detect different intensities of infrared radiation.
  • Adjustable detection range and response speed via two potentiometers.
  • compact, low cost, low power consumption, easy to operate and wear resistant.
  • Grove-compatible interface, supports Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms.
  • Detection angle up to 120 degrees, adjustable detection distance and hold time.
