Discover the exciting world of meteorology and environmental monitoring with this anemometer for Arduino. Whether you're an enthusiastic hobbyist or an experienced developer, the anemometer is the ideal solution for taking uncomplicated and reliable real-time wind speed measurements on an Arduino. The way the device works is as simple as it is ingenious: the voltage measured at the analog pin of the microcontroller is output via the serial monitor. The wind force can then be determined based on the changed voltage.

The wind sensor consists of a rotor and an integrated generator sensor. When the wind blows, the rotor turns in a fixed direction. This rotation generates a voltage that is proportional to the wind speed. The sensor does not require an external power supply - it automatically generates a voltage signal when the wind blows.

    Overview

    • Maximum wind speed: 200 km/h
    • Recommended operating range: up to 100 km/h
    • Normal output voltage: 0-2 V (max. 4 V)
    • Output signal: 0-2 V proportional to wind speed
    • Signal cable length: approx. 3 meters
    • Size of the sensor: Height approx. 10 cm, rotor diameter approx. 18 cm
    • Housing material: ABS plastic
    • Weight: approx. 200 g
    • Packaging size: 180 × 100 mm

    Pin assignment:

    • Black with white stripes: Signal voltage (0-2 V) - can be connected directly to the analog input of a 5V microcontroller

    • Black: Ground (GND)

    Mounting instructions:

    • Mount horizontally and securely - ideally in an elevated location without wind obstacles, but not higher than the lightning protection system.

    • Not waterproof when submerged - only rainproof.

    • Lay cables so that the rotors can turn freely.

Formulas for calculating the wind speed:

Please note that the formulas given are approximate values. Comparative values must be determined for detailed measurements.

    • Wind speed (km/h) = Voltage (V) × 50

    • Wind speed (m/s) = Voltage (V) × 14

Application: Suitable for simple wind measurements in DIY projects and for control or comparison in control systems. Not suitable for professional-level meteorological applications.

    Gutes Produkt

Funktioniert sehr gut. Man muss allerdings zuerst mit einem Windmessgerät kalibrieren, um genaue Ergebnisse zu erhalten. Ich selber musste mit Faktor 4 dividieren.
