Voltage-current converter 0~5V to 0-20mA
- Item no: F23108269
- Weight: 0,02 kg
- Packing dimensions: 5.66 cm x 2.65 cm x 1.91 cm (L x W x H)
This conversion module can be used to convert a voltage of 0~5 V into 0~20 mA current. A signal can also be transmitted constantly over a long cable length. The module maintains a corresponding current value depending on the voltage input, regardless of the cable length.
Functional description:
- The upper and lower limits of the output current can be adjusted. For example, if you require 0-8 V to 3-20 mA, set the potentiometer for the lower current limit to 3 mA when 0 V is entered and the potentiometer for the upper current limit to 20 mA when 8 V is entered. As a result, 0-8 V to 3-20 mA can be achieved, with simple and convenient operation and high accuracy.
- Can be used as a constant current source with the voltage signal input terminal exposed, and the current lower limit potentiometer can be set to output a current value of 0-13 mA.
Application Introduction:
In industrial control and many sensor application circuits, when the signal output is simulated, it is generally output as voltage. When transmitting analog signals over long distances by voltage, the resistance of the signal source or the DC resistance of the transmission line can cause voltage attenuation. The lower the input resistance of the signal receiving end, the greater the voltage attenuation. The only way to avoid signal attenuation during transmission is to increase the input resistance of the signal receiving end. However, increasing the input resistance of the signal receiving end reduces the interference suppression performance of the transmission line, making it susceptible to external interference and unstable signal transmission. Therefore, when transmitting analog signals over long distances, the voltage output cannot be used, and the voltage output can be converted into a current output. In addition, many conventional industrial instruments require the output terminal to convert the voltage output to a current output when it is connected live. The V/I converter converts the voltage output signal to a current output signal, which is advantageous for signal transmission over long distances.
