Arcade LED button 28mm - various colors

A button is a button, and a switch is a switch, but these translucent arcade buttons are in a class of their own. Especially because they have LEDs built in! They are the same size as standard miniature arcade controls and require an approximately 30mm diameter hole for mounting. This is why they are sometimes referred to as 30mm buttons, but the exact diameter of the M28 thread is slightly smaller, approx. 27.3mm

The buttons are screwed on from the rear by a counter ring. The thread has a length of approx. 28mm so you can use them with materials up to 20mm thick. A tiny microswitch is pre-installed in the button. The push-button housing shows where the cable to be switched must be connected. The contacts for the LED lighting are on the side next to the push-button housing.

They look fantastic even when unlit: All colors have a crystal-clear, glossy look. The two mounted LEDs have built-in resistors. There are two additional contacts next to the switch contacts for feeding/controlling the LEDs. The two LEDs are connected in parallel with a 200 Ohm resistor so that you can supply the LED with a current of 10mA from a microcontroller pin or directly from 5V (e.g. USB). You can go up to 3.3V current, with only 2mA per button, but the LEDs will be dimmer.
