The ROBOTIS OpenCM 485 Expansion Board was developed to control the Dynamixel servomotors. Thanks to the powerful, optionally available OpenCM9.04-A / OpenCM9.04-C development board, which is based on an ARM Cortex-M3 MCU, demanding tasks can be mastered without any problems. Control options
Many of the Dynamixel controller boards available on the market have either a TTL interface for controlling the popular AX/MX/X series, or RS485 for the higher-priced Dynamixel Pro servomotors. The OpenCM9.04 development board, on the other hand, has both interfaces, offering great flexibility.

OpenCM9.04 development board
The OpenCM 485 Expansion Board merely forms the interface between the actuators and sensors, while the OpenCM 9.04 Controller Board is responsible for evaluation and control. In addition to a micro USB port for simple programming and implementation, this also has a powerful 72MHZ ARM Cortex M3 MCU, which is also designed for demanding algorithms with a flash memory of 128Kbytes.
Compatibility
Due to different connector systems, a so-called convertible cable is required to connect the OpenCM Expansion Board to the servo motor when controlling the X series.
