DOBOT Vision Kit

The DOBOT Vision Kit extends compatible DOBOT robots with camera-based image processing for visual recognition, position determination and automated handling tasks. In conjunction with DobotVisionStudio, image data can be captured, evaluated and converted into physical coordinates via calibration functions in order to implement pick-and-place, sorting and inspection tasks.

The system is suitable for training environments, laboratories and automation applications in which objects are to be recognized and processed depending on their position and characteristics. The software provides tools for image acquisition, localization, measurement, colour evaluation, calibration and communication.

Benefits / areas of application

The Vision Kit is designed for applications in which objects are to be recognized, localized or sorted on the basis of visual features. Typical areas of application are training workstations, demonstrators, laboratory environments and compact automation setups with DOBOT robots. The software examples describe, among other things, color sorting, calibration and position-related processes with the Dobot Magician.
