Product Description
The heating cartridge is a heating element used to heat the nozzle in FDM 3D printers. It is inserted into the print head of the ANET A8 and Creality models such as the Ender, where it heats the metal of the print nozzle to the required temperatures. The ceramic insulation minimizes heat loss to the surrounding environment and ensures even temperature distribution.
Since the cartridge is designed for 24-V devices, it cannot be operated directly on printers with a 12-V power supply. The rated power of 40 W is typical for this printer size; a higher power rating could overload the thermistor sensing element. The connector fits directly into the designated socket on the printhead, eliminating the need for on-site wiring.
A typical application is operation with the printer’s included 24-V power supply, in which the heating cartridge is temperature-controlled via the motherboard. Replacement is necessary if the element loses heating capacity after prolonged use or if the thermistor signal becomes too erratic.
A 24-V system is required for operation; for 12-V printers, the printer’s power supply configuration must be adjusted accordingly. Replacement requires that the print head has cooled to at least room temperature. Replacement heating elements should be checked for compatibility with the connector socket of the respective printer model.
Safety Note
The heating cartridge becomes hot during printing and can cause burns. After turning off the printer, allow sufficient time for it to cool down before touching the heating element. Maintenance and replacement of the print head may only be performed when the printer is disconnected from the power supply. The device is intended exclusively for use in 3D printers of the specified models.
