Product Description
This axial fan is a compact radial fan designed for heat dissipation in electronic systems and 3D printers. The 40-series size fits into tight spaces and operates at voltages between 8 and 12 volts, allowing it to be used with common microcontroller boards and power modules. The JST-2P connector plugs in directly without soldering, saves pins, and prevents polarity mix-ups.
The airflow of 6.5 CFM is sufficient for cooling in confined spaces, such as for heat dissipation in 3D printing extruder blocks, for small control modules, or as a blower in recirculating air controllers. At lower voltages, the airflow decreases but the fan continues to run, which can be advantageous depending on temperature requirements. Calibration is not required.
Installation is accomplished using four mounting holes at the corners of the housing. All that’s needed for operation is a power source in the 8- to 12-volt range; in the event of a fault, a resistor or transistor is required for soft shutdown to absorb voltage spikes from the coil.
Safety Notice
Not intended for installation in residential electrical circuits. Intended exclusively for prototyping, testing, and development purposes. When working in close proximity to power sources, pay attention to polarity and verify the voltage; if in doubt, consult a qualified electrician before commissioning.
