IR thermal imaging camera MLX90640 55 degrees
Are you looking for a thermal sensor that can detect your ambient temperature and also display the thermal image number? This module is a good choice for monitoring temperature changes with a small camera.
The IR thermal camera has a 32x24 array of thermal sensors (MLX90640) and can detect the temperature of objects from a distance of one meter with an accuracy of ±1.5℃. To obtain the thermal image easily, the I2C protocol is used. The field of view (FOV) of this camera is 55° x 35° and the temperature measurement range is -40℃~300℃.
The module connects the MCU to the I2C interface. However, an MCU with over 20,000 bytes of RAM is required to operate the camera. Therefore, it should be checked whether a suitable development board is available for use. The thermal imaging camera is also compatible with many Arduino boards and Seeeduino boards equipped with SAMD21 / SAMD51. And it also supports all Raspberry Pi series, including Raspberry Pi Zero.
