    Perfekt für große, leicht lesbare Anzeigen

    Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser Komponente. Bei mir ist sie an einem Arduino UNO im Einsatz. Auf niedrigster Helligkeitsstufe (setIntensity(x, 0)) lässt sich die LED-Matrix sehr gut allein über die Pins am UNO mit Strom versorgen. Dafür reicht es auch, wenn der UNO lediglich am USB-Kabel hängt. All das natürlich nur, solange alle anderen Komponenten nicht zu viel ziehen. Für meinen Anwendungsfall passt es.

    Auch mit niedrigster Helligkeit ist die LED-Matrix sehr klar bei normalen Lichtverhältnissen ablesbar. Softwareseitig muss man sich etwas reinfinden. Die vier 8x8-Felder sind anders herum nummeriert als ich persönlich erwartet hatte. Aber mit einem kleinen Testprogramm, was eine LED nach der anderen einschaltet, sah ich schnell in welcher Reihenfolge die Zeilen, Spalten und 8x8-Felder nummeriert sind. Ist auch nachvollziehbar, muss man nur wissen beim Programmieren.

    Die empfohlene Bibliothek aus der verlinkten Anleitung in der Beschreibung (LedControl by Eberhard Fahle) funktioniert übrigens auch super. Zumindest sofern man die Pixel komplett selbst setzen möchte. Beispiele mit Laufschrift habe ich auf Youtube auch mal gesehen, sind aber nicht mein Usecase. Hierfür braucht es vermutlich eine umfangreichere Bibliothek.
