Description
The Grove - Temperature, Humidity & Barometer Sensor (BME280) is a highly accurate combined humidity, barometric pressure and temperature sensor with low power consumption. Air pressure can be measured in a range from 300 hPa to 1100 hPa with an accuracy of ±1.0 hPa and temperatures between -40℃ and 85℃ with an accuracy of ±1℃.
As for humidity, you can obtain a humidity value with a deviation of less than 3%. As air pressure changes with altitude, it can also be used to measure the approximate altitude of a location. This can be calculated with an accuracy of ±1 meter, which also makes it an accurate altimeter.
The sensor can be connected to a microcontroller with I2C (integrated in the Grove socket) or via the SPI bus. A library is also available to simplify the use of this product.
The BME280 is an updated version of the BMP180. The BME280 has a smaller footprint, lower power consumption, fewer noise measurements, higher resolutions for pressure and temperature, lower RMS noise, a newly added SPI bus, more measurement modes, a higher measurement rate and a newly added environmental noise filter. Overall, it is more reliable in providing accurate data on temperature, air pressure, humidity and approximate altitude.

As the sensor is very sensitive to environmental conditions, please DO NOT touch it with your fingers.
