Grove - Electromagnet
An electromagnet is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is generated by an electric current. An electric current flowing in a wire generates a magnetic field around the wire due to Ampere's law. To concentrate the magnetic field, the wire in an electromagnet is wound into a coil, with many turns of wire lying next to each other. The magnetic field of all the wire windings runs through the center of the coil and generates a strong magnetic field there.
The Grove electromagnet can hold 1 kg of weight and release it again.
