Chassis kits for your microelectronics project
The absolute classic among the kits is the chassis. Whether as a complete set with microelectronics accessories or as a bare kit, a chassis kit should not be missing in your workshop. The chassis is especially popular for school projects: Here, the module is equipped with one or more sensors (such as the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor). In conjunction with appropriate programming, an autonomously driving vehicle is created that can drive around in an environment for any length of time without colliding with objects.
The assembly of the Chassis kit takes only a few minutes, an illustrated documentation of the assembly can be found on our learning platform funduino.de.
The right accessories for your chassis kit
The control of the motors, as well as the evaluation and processing of the sensor values is usually done with a microcontroller. The base plate of the chassis kit also serves as a mounting plate, so you can easily attach additional components.
We recommend the following modules in addition to the chassis kit:
- L298N H-bridge to control the motors
- Microcontroller Funduino UNO R3 for processing signals
- HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and holder for the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor
- IR distance sensor (the holder for the module can be 3D printed)
In addition, we recommend the use of a 9V block battery. The power supply via the battery compartment (4x 1.5V) usually included in the scope of delivery has proven to be insufficient in most cases in the past.
Note: No additional mounting screws are included in the scope of delivery of most chassis modules.
