Grove - Line finder v1.1
Most automated robot projects start with a line-following robot. Grove - Line Finder v1.1 was developed to accomplish this task easily and quickly.
Description
The Grove Line Finder is designed for a line-following robot. It has an IR-emitting LED and an IR-sensitive phototransistor. It can output a digital signal to a microcontroller so that the robot can follow a black line on a white background or vice versa.
The eye-like sensors on the board are IR-emitting LEDs (infrared) and sensitive phototransistors. When the phototransistor detects the infrared light reflected by the IR-emitting LED, it emits a digital signal that changes from HIGH to LOW.
Features
- Integrated function: IR indicator LED and IR-sensitive phototransistor
- Digital output: digital signal changes from HIGH to LOW (HIGH when black is detected; LOW when white is detected)
- Easy to operate: Compatible with Grove port, simple plug-and-play
- Flexible detection: adjustable detection range
Application: Robotics
- Robotics
- Mini toy car

What is Grove?
Grove facilitates connection, experimentation and simplifies the prototyping process. No jumpers or soldering are required. More than 300 Grove modules have been developed to cover a wide range of applications and fulfill a variety of requirements. Not only the hardware is open source, but also the software. Instructional PDF documents and a wiki are provided for Grove users (especially beginners).
We offer various Grove Shields to enable connection to the Grove system with various microcontrollers.
