MAX98357 I2S audio amplifier module, filterless class D amplifier, supports ESP32, Raspberry Pi
Description:
This digital audio amplifier board is suitable for Raspberry Pi and ESP32. It converts a digital audio signal into an analog output signal via the I2S interface to enable a direct speaker connection. It combines an I2S D/A converter with an audio amplifier on one board.
The small stereo amplifier module is surprisingly powerful and delivers up to 3.2 W to speakers with an impedance of 4 Ω. The class D amplifier can be operated with a voltage of 2.7 V - 5.5 V. The high efficiency of the amplifier makes the module particularly suitable for mobile and battery-powered projects.
The I2S audio input supports 3.3 V and 5 V levels. The gain can be set to the following values via the gain input: 3dB, 6dB, 9dB, 12dB and 15dB. The stereo signals (L + R) are mixed into one output signal as standard. The behavior can be changed with a resistor so that only L or R is output.
The module is supplied fully assembled (soldered) and tested. Speakers, Raspberry Pi, cables and breadboard are not included.
