The robotics add-on - photoelectric sensor with sockets for banana plugs and safety connection cable - is designed to transmit a voltage pulse to a robot as soon as an object appears in the sensor's measuring range.

The light barrier transmits a voltage (24V) to a robot controller. It is compatible with all robots that are equipped with the connection option for safety plug-in cables. An adapter is usually required for this. Examples of robots that can be equipped with a safety cable adapter: DOBOT E6, DOBOT CR3, Dobot CR5, Universal Robots UR3, Universal Robots UR5, Universal Robots UR7 etc.

Function

If an object is detected, the sensor forwards the voltage applied to the red socket to the yellow socket.

If no object is detected, a low voltage level is applied to the output (GND)
