Ozobot Ari Entry Kit

Ozobot Ari offers unique applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the classroom. Students discover how AI works by applying it to familiar situations, for example

• Obstacle detection: Ari automatically stops when it encounters an object, just like a self-driving car;
• Voice control: students give verbal commands such as "turn right" at a junction. This teaches them how voice assistants and robots with voice recognition work;
• Machine vision: Ari uses its sensors to recognize and evaluate objects, similar to quality control in production.

These practical applications make abstract AI concepts understandable, relevant and fun. Ari gives students an experiential approach to technology and prepares them for a future where AI will have more and more influence.

Lifecycles

Students use the Life Cycles app to explore and model important biological processes, deepening their understanding of nature through interactive, hands-on learning.

The night sky

With the "Night Sky" app, pupils learn about constellations and their visibility throughout the year. They also learn more about celestial wonders such as Halley's comet and the phases of the moon. The focus is on celestial objects that are visible at night or only once in a lifetime.

Color codes & Ozoblockly

Two ways to program! The Color Codes app lets you program Ari using color codes. Students learn about Ari's tracking sensors and the color sensor, which allow Ari to perform pre-programmed actions. Ari's Blockly app is compatible with the Ozobot Editor, our block-based editor for creating visual programs. These programs consist of blocks that you can select, drag, drop and connect like puzzle pieces.

Distance

In the Distance app, students can use Ari to measure and explore the concept of distance by experimenting with real objects. With Ari's time-of-flight sensor, students can measure the distance from Ari to different objects by calculating the travel time of light between Ari and the object.
