The SMPS2Dynamixel adapter enables the connection of an external power source, such as the ROBOTIS SMPS power supply unit (or similar), for Dynamixel servomotors. As the board has both 3-pin and 4-pin connectors, the following Dynamixel series can be connected or supplied with power:

  • AX
  • MX/DX/RX
  • XL/XM (with the addition of a convertible cable)

The maximum operating voltage for the SMPS2Dynamixel is 20V, but it is essential that you check the maximum voltage compatibility of the Dynamixel servomotors you are using.
