General
The ROBOTIS Dynamixel Pro servomotors have different performance values, dimensions and interfaces, offering a wide range of options. The Dynamixel Pro+ M54P-060-S250-R has a planetary gearbox with integrated encoder, enabling up to 502,834 steps/revolution. In addition, the following special functions have been added to the Dynamixel Pro servo motor:
- Power sensor for torque adjustment
- Control algorithm for speed, position and current control
- PID controller for internal position control and correction
The communication between the servo motor and the control electronics can be carried out using either the ROBOTIS Dynamixel U2D2, the ROBOTIS OpenCR1.0 development board or many other Dynamixel Pro / RS485 compatible control units. However, it should be noted that the operating voltage is 24 volts, in contrast to the Dynamixel AX/MX series.
