    Description

    The MonkMakes sensor board allows you to detect noise level, temperature and light intensity. It has ring pad connections for use with crocodile clips that make it easyto connect the board to a Microbit.

    Volume:

    It detects the sound level with a MEMs, a microphone on a chip that also has a pre-amplifier circuit. You can then use the bar graph block in the Microsoft MakeCode editor to display the result on the Microbits LED matrix

    Temperature level:

    The temperature output of the board is a voltage that indicates the temperature. This is then measured via an analog input on the micro:bit

    Light intensity:

    The light sensor measures the light intensity using a phototransistor and generates an output voltage that increases as the light intensity increases

    Features:

    • 3 V and GND connections can be made from both sides and enables a second board such as the MonkMakes relay board or the MonkMakes speaker to be powered
    • LED power-on indicator
    • Reverse polarity protection
    • All three sensors are analog and can be connected to pins P0, P1 and P2 using crocodile clips
    • Detects the sound level with a MEM (microphone on a chip) and a preamplifier
    • Uses a thermistor for temperature measurement
    • Detects light intensity with a phototransistor (0 to 1023)
    • All three sensors are analog and can be connected to pins P0, P1 and P2 using crocodile clips
