Description

Grove - ADXL345 is a small, thin, ultra-low power, 3-axis accelerometer that provides high-resolution (13-bit) measurements at up to ±16g. It measures static acceleration due to gravity in tilt sensor applications as well as dynamic acceleration due to motion or shock. Its high resolution (3.9 mg/LSB) enables the measurement of tilt changes of less than 1.0°.

Power consumption is only 23 μA in measurement mode and 0.1 μA in standby mode. The low-power modes enable intelligent motion-based energy management with threshold detection and active acceleration measurement at extremely low power dissipation. 

Several special sensor functions are available: Activity and inactivity detection detects the presence or absence of motion by comparing acceleration on any axis to user-specified thresholds. The tap sensing function detects single and double taps in any direction. Free-fall detection detects if the device is falling.

Based on the ADXL-345, this 3-axis digital accelerometer has excellent EMI protection.
