Grove - 3-axis digital accelerometer
The Grove - 3-axis digital accelerometer (±1.5 g) is a 3-axis digital accelerometer widely used for orientation detection, gesture detection and motion detection, among others.
It is based on the low-power MMA7660FC module from Freescale. It has a high shock resistance of up to 10,000 g and a configurable sampling rate per second.
Features
- 3-axis motion/alignment detection
- Strong pressure resistance (10,000 g)
- Extremely low power consumption
- Grove unit interface for versatile use
Application
- Motion detection of the robot
- Mobile phone/PMP/PDA: Orientation detection (portrait/landscape), image stability, text scroll, motion selection, tap to mute
- Laptop PC: Theft protection
- Gaming: Motion detection, automatic wake/sleep for low power consumption
- Digital camera: Image stability
