A Kendryte K230 dual-core processor with 1.6 GHz and 6 TOPS AI computing power is at work inside. This means that many image processing tasks can be carried out directly on the device, quickly, locally and without cloud dependency.
More than 20 AI models are already integrated ex works. These include face recognition, object recognition, object tracking, color recognition, line tracking, gesture recognition, pose recognition, text and license plate recognition, QR code, barcode and tag recognition as well as other functions for demanding vision projects. This makes the HUSKYLENS 2 suitable for both quick beginners and more complex applications in robotics, automation and education.

The HUSKYLENS 2 is equipped with a 2MP camera, a 2.4-inch IPS touchscreen with 640 x 480 pixels, integrated microphone, 1W speaker, RGB LED, two fill lights and a TF card slot. This makes it not just a sensor, but a versatile platform for interactive AI applications. Thanks to the modular camera unit, other camera modules can also be used depending on the application, for example for macro or night vision scenarios.
Use your own models and combine them with controllers
In addition to the integrated functions, the HUSKYLENS 2 also supports the import of your own trained models, including those based on YOLO. This allows you to train the camera specifically for individual objects, situations or use cases. At the same time, the connection remains uncomplicated: The HUSKYLENS 2 can be connected to Arduino, micro:bit, Raspberry Pi, ESP32 and other platforms via UART and I2C.
