Infrared set - extension for varikabi

With this extension set you can either build an infrared remote control for your varikabi or varikabo robot or equip your varikabi itself with infrared light so that it can avoid obstacles even better, track objects or be tracked by other varikabis.

There are basically three ways to use the infrared LEDs. Each of them can be combined with different varikabi functions.

1) Infrared flashlight

With an additional battery you can build an IR remote control for your robot and use it to navigate through your home.

2) Infrared reflex light barrier

If you mount the IR LEDs instead of the normal LEDs in the direction of the sensors on varikabi, the IR light reflected from objects can be detected with the sensors and used for obstacle detection.   

3)  varikabi in interaction

Finally, the IR LEDs can be used to let a second robot follow or even avoid the IR light of your varikabi.
