?nergy absorbing circuits are used to suppress the voltage spikes caused by the inductance of the circuit when an electrical or mechanical switch is opened.
They are used for all Shelly relays that are restarted when inductive loads such as fans, motors, shutters or those that cause voltage spikes when switched on.
The RC damper should be connected between the output and the neutral of the circuit.
