The installed stepper motor has an outstanding torque as well as a high resolution.

Advantages of Direct Drive Technology

With a Direct Drive extruder, the filament is pressed directly into the die. This makes it possible to achieve an overall stronger extrusion force. In addition, the feed speed of the filament can be increased. This has the advantage that stringing can be avoided during printing and generally the print quality can be increased.

The biggest advantage, however, is that the extruder can also handle filament that is abrasive or flexible.
