CNC Shield: Build your own DIY Arduino compatible CNC milling machine
With the CNC Shield V3 4988 and the Shield V4 4988 there are now for the first time shields on the market that allow you to build a DIY CNC milling machine. You are spoiled for choice: while the CNC Shield V3 is compatible with an Arduino UNO R3 microcontroller, you can also use an Arduino NANO R3 with the CNC Shield V4. On the Internet you will find a whole range of instructions for building DIY milling machines.
But even if you are not directly interested in building a milling machine, the CNC Shields offer an advantage for those of you who want to control stepper motors. If you equip the shields with suitable motor drivers, available from us as a set by the way, you can use them to control up to four stepper motors at the same time.
Further applications of the CNC Shields
The red shields are not only used for the construction of milling machines. In general, many machines that have two or more rotary axes are suitable for the use of the Shields. They are also frequently installed in 3D printers or plotters, for example. Does that surprise you? It doesn't have to be, because the manufacturers usually also use Arduino-compatible products in production.
In our online store you will find a new category: Workshop. There you will find storage boxes and measuring instruments as well as tools for setting up your milling machines.
