Motors and accessories for microelectronics

If you want to take your project to a new level in the truest sense of the word, you simply cannot avoid integrating a motor: because motors also play an irreplaceable role in microelectronics. They drive, control, accelerate - paving the way to a new dimension: motion.

Does that sound a little exaggerated?
Just think about the places where you encounter motors in your daily life. And what added value motors offer in these places.

You find motors

- in your electronic toothbrush
- in your domestic fan
- in almost all kitchen appliances
- in the elevator
- ... in many other places in everyday life. Motors are real everyday heroes that make our lives easier in many areas

Buy accessories for electric motors

In addition to motors, you will also find suitable accessories in our online store. In addition to the electric motors, we also offer various additional modules especially for microelectronics, which revolve around the topic of control with a microcontroller. You have the choice from Speed controllers, H-bridges to control one or more electric motors, motorshields for the Arduino UNO and Motor driver boards. Additionally you will find mechanical components, such as Joints, brackets for motors and various attachments.

Buy the right electric motor for your project

Electric motors are the prime movers of any project. The basic function of electric motors is quickly explained: by supplying electrical energy, a motor converts it into kinetic energy. As a rule, an electric motor has a shaft through which this power is transmitted.

A typical application of electronic motors also accompanies us in everyday life - on particularly warm summer days. By supplying electric power and pressing a button on the control panel of a fan, the electric motor of the device is set in rotation - with a refreshing result!

Types and control of electric motors

We roughly distinguish between the following types of electric motors in our online store

- brushless motors - electric motor without carbon brushes (sliding contacts)
- DC/AC motors -which convert direct current energy into mechanical energy through magnetic fields
- gear motors -in which the output shaft rotates with a greater torque than the motor shaft
- stepper motors -in which the rotor moves through a stepwise rotating electromagnetic field
- servo motors -which contain sensors, which allow precise adjustment of the angle of rotation, speed of rotation and acceleration

Many electric motors cannot be driven directly by a microcontroller. They require a separate power supply and/or motor driver for control. Whether your selected electric motor requires such a motor driver and whether this is included in the scope of delivery can be found in the article description of the respective article.
