Grove - rotation angle sensor / potentiometer
This is an original module from the Grove series from Seeedstudio. This series uses standardized connectors with four contacts each, designated VCC, GND, D1 and D2.
This potentiometer generates an analog output signal between 0V and 5V at contact D1. The D2 connection is not used. The angle range is 300 degrees, with linear value change. The resistance value is 10 kOhm, perfect for Arduino use. The module can also be referred to as a rotation angle sensor.
The potentiometer is also known as a rotary potentiometer or potentiometer. It consists of a resistive element, called a trace, and an internal sliding contact, called a wiper, whose end terminals are attached to the resistive element.
Grove - Rotary Angle Sensor is compatible with both Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Due to the uniform connector system of the Grove series, we recommend the use of a shield with suitable connectors, e.g. the Grove Base Shield V2 or the use of a Grove Base HAT when using a Raspberry Pi.
