JST connectors for your microelectronics project
Among the connector systems, the system of the company JST is widely used. The JST plugs can be found on a wide variety of electronic components, but mostly on motors or fans. If you have access to a 3D printer, you have definitely encountered the white plugs before.
But JST connectors have also become established in microelectronics and robotics. Systems such as "Grove" from Seeedstudio or the DOBOT Magician robot arm rely entirely on handy JST connectors. The connector systems are available in different pitch sizes.

Advantages of the JST plug-in system
The connector system has a decisive advantage over conventional connector systems within microelectronics: The phases converge in a single connector head. The design of the JST connectors also determines the insertion direction. This special feature protects even inexperienced makers from short circuits!
Each JST connector has at least two phases, which also specifies the "intended use" of the phase through their coloring. A red cable stands for the power supply, a black cable for the ground. Cables in between, which come in different colors, are intended for data or signal transmission.
