Buy PETG Filament for 3D Printers
PETG (also polyethylene terephthalate, or PET for short) is a thermoplastic and a slightly modified version of PET.
This modification is achieved by adding a second glycol during polymerization.
This causes the material to require a lower melting temperature than PLA filament, for example, and prevents the risk of crystallization.
In addition, this modification leads to a clear optical print result, high layer adhesion and increased impact resistance.
These factors guarantee easy handling of PETG in 3D printing.
The filament is UV and temperature resistant and can be easily removed from the printing plate once it has cooled down.
PETG filament is characterized primarily by its outstanding low-temperature behavior.
The plastic is known for being hardly susceptible to so-called warping.
The properties of PETG at a glance:
- food-safe
- optimum mechanical properties
- very high impact strength
- very good chemical resistance
- flame retardant
- low water absorption
- Pressure temperature between 200°C - 230°C
