Ozobot Ari is a compact, programmable robot with an interactive touchscreen and Android operating system. It has been specially designed for primary and secondary schools and is ready for immediate use thanks to its wide range of ready-made lessons.
Thanks to the interactive display, powerful technology and integrated AI functions, learning becomes visual, dynamic and understandable. Students can program Ari in three ways: with Ozobot color codes, the Ozobot Editor (Blockly) and Python.
Ozobot Ari Class Set (12)
The Ozobot Ari class set (12) is a complete set that can be used immediately and is suitable for both lower and upper classes as an introduction to programming. All materials for teachers and students are included, including a printed Dutch teaching guide and quick access to all our free Dutch Ozobot teaching materials and activities.
Improved student engagement
Ozobot Ari builds on the strong foundation of Evo and Bit+ with new features that deepen the learning experience. The colorful display features animations, prompts and instant feedback, encouraging students to actively learn and develop problem-solving skills. Ari can access new learning materials and updates via secure Wi-Fi connections to Ozobot servers.
Students can program Ari in three ways:
- Screen-free with markers and color coding;
- Visually via block programming in the Ozobot editor (Blockly);
- Enhanced with Python for real text coding;
Interactive lesson content
Through a user-friendly platform, Ari provides access to a wide range of pre-built lessons and activities for subjects such as biology, computer science, math and other STEAM disciplines. Students learn not only the subject itself, but also logical thinking, collaboration and problem solving at different levels.
Next-gen technology
Ozobot Ari is equipped with sensors that are normally only used in professional robots. These include:
- Line and color sensors for route tracking and color recognition;
- Time-of-flight sensor (distance sensor) for precise distance measurement and obstacle detection;
- Acceleration sensor and gyroscope for measuring movement and orientation.
This technology makes it possible to convey complex technical concepts in an understandable and playful way as a teaching aid.
Prepared for AI and the future
Ozobot Ari offers unique applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the classroom. Students discover how AI works by applying it to familiar situations, for example
- Obstacle detection: Ari automatically stops when it encounters an object, just like a self-driving car;
- Voice control: students give verbal commands such as "turn right" at a junction. This teaches them how voice assistants and robots with voice recognition work;
- Machine vision: Ari uses its sensors to recognize and evaluate objects, similar to quality control in production.

Apps developed for Ozobot Ari
Lifecycles
Students use the Life Cycles app to explore and model important biological processes, deepening their understanding of nature through interactive, hands-on learning.
The night sky
With the "Night Sky" app, pupils learn about constellations and their visibility throughout the year. They also learn more about celestial wonders such as Halley's comet and the phases of the moon. The focus is on celestial objects that are visible at night or only once in a lifetime.
Color codes & Ozoblockly
Two ways to program! The Color Codes app lets you program Ari using color codes. Students learn about Ari's tracking sensors and the color sensor, which allow Ari to perform pre-programmed actions. Ari's Blockly app is compatible with the Ozobot Editor, our block-based editor for creating visual programs. These programs consist of blocks that you can select, drag, drop and connect like puzzle pieces.
Distance
In the Distance app, students can use Ari to measure and explore the concept of distance by experimenting with real objects. With Ari's time-of-flight sensor, students can measure the distance from Ari to different objects by calculating the travel time of light between Ari and the object.
