WHY THE PLUS ADD-ON?
Precise measurement and control
Shelly Plus Add-on is an electrically isolated sensor interface for all Shelly Plus relays. Use the add-on to measure temperature and humidity via its 1-Wire connections or connect different analog and digital sensors for complex automation and higher efficiency.
Highly compatible
The Shelly Plus Add-on is compatible with most Arduino sensors! Use the digital or analog inputs to measure your desired parameters and create complex automation scenes based on the sensor data.
APPLICATION EXAMPLES
Garage door control
You can connect a reed switch sensor to the digital sensor of the Shelly Plus Add-on and track the status of your garage door. This way you always know whether it is open or closed and can react accordingly.

WATER HEATING
Heat your water to an optimal temperature
Cover your daily needs without wasting anything! With the Shelly PM relays you can determine the optimum energy requirement for heating the water in your instantaneous water heater. In combination with a temperature sensor, the Shelly relays can automatically switch off the instantaneous water heater when the optimum temperature is reached.

Keep the heat in the house
Together with an LDR (photo resistor), the Shelly Plus Add-on can trigger the Shelly Plus 2PM to close the blinds when direct sunlight shines on your windows and heats up the room. This way, the air conditioner doesn't have to compensate for the heat by using more electricity, saving energy. And don't worry about losing the pleasant daylight! As soon as the sun changes its position, the blinds open again automatically.

An awning that follows the weather
Motorized outdoor awnings offer your guests pleasant shade on sunny days. However, a strong, uncontrolled wind can damage them beyond repair. By combining it with a wind sensor connected to the Shelly Plus Add-on, Shelly Plus 2PM can automatically close the outdoor awning to protect it from the wind. In addition, the Shelly Plus Add-on with a rain sensor can trigger the Shelly Plus 2PM to open the awning in time to protect your guests.

Watering only when needed
A beautiful garden is no easy task, and automating your irrigation system can save you time and optimize your costs. Together with a soil moisture sensor, Shelly Plus Add-on can tell Shelly Plus 1 to turn on watering only when needed and skip the rainy days.

Motion-controlled lights
Shelly Plus Add-on can also be connected to a motion detector to light rooms that you occasionally use in the house. When you enter the room, the light comes on for as long as you need it.
